Federation Account: How They Share N886bn as Statutory and VAT in August 2012

The Economic Confidential magazine provides here the distribution of a total sum of N886 billion being the statutory and VAT allocations shared to all tiers of government at the meeting of the monthly Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) in August, 2012. From the total disbursement of nets after deductions, the highest recipients are from the oil producing states with AkwaIbom N18.1bn, Rivers receiving N13.9bn, Delta N14.2bn and Bayelsa N9.3bn. The highest recipients from non-oil –producing states are Lagos N13.2bn and Kano N10.8bn.

The lowest recipients as revealed in the table below are Gombe N4bn, Nasarawa N4bn, Ebonyi N3.7bn and Ekiti N3.9bn. The Economic Confidential can also confirm other disbursements in August, 2012: Federal N204.1bn, FCT Councils N4.3bn, Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) N2.7n, and Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) N7.7bn
